my daughter and 3 yo granddaughter live in Marietta,Ga. my daughter is unemployed,gets no assistance,has no means of transportation to look for or retain employment. They are homeless and have been so for over a year, they stay with friends or in shelters always moving around. my daughter suffers from depression and needs medical attention and medication. She recieves 300 dollars/mo in child support which she uses for food and insadentals,occasionally when they have no where to stay she rents a budget hotel room for a night. Her daughter spends weekends with her father and my daughter has to be very careful that he doesn't find out about the seriousness of her situation and take custody of the child,he thinks they are living with friends. They walk where ever they go and have missed appointments at DFACS to apply for aid. She doesn't have the apporpriate doccuments needed to apply for help because she has had difficulty getting to the appropriate agencies to obtain copies of these doccuments. She doesn't want to leave Ga because she wants the childs father involved in her life. I live in Mi and have MS,I send her money when I can. She needs assistance with money,healthcare,food stamps,transpotation,safe housing,vocational training and child care. She is so overwhelmed,there is no single location where she can go to get assistance. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where she can go to get assistance for all her needs?
